We are seeking a well-experienced Typescript Engineer to join our core team and help bring our new ideas to life, surprising the world together. This position can involve all elements of product development, from 0 to 1. Our main dev language is TypeScript (Node.js) and we use Github for our task management.
Responsibilities
- Help guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from the initial concept of our new product to completion
- Demonstrate expertise/ownership in major areas of the codebase
- Collaborate closely with the executive, project manager, and design team
Requirements
- Passion for the Japanese entertainment industry — anime, manga, gaming, VTubing… you must be an otaku!
- 5+ years experience, having worked on large-scale services as well as involving one project that you’ve worked on for at least 2 years
- API development expertise with proven experience in architecting and developing APIs in a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, etc. and utilizing Typescript (Node.js)
- Experience using Github, Notion, GSuite, Microsoft Office, Slack, and Zoom
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Experience developing native iOS / Android applications
- Knowledge of C#(Unity)
- Experience in developing communication systems in standard web technologies, such as streaming services and network games
- Development experience with a team of 3 or more, especially communicating with product design, product manager, and business development team members
- Experience in performance measurement and bottleneck investigation
