As an Engineering Manager at Beatrust, you will play a crucial role in leading and mentoring a team of SREs, infrastructure engineers, security specialists, and QA engineers. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SREs, infrastructure engineers, security specialists, and QA engineers. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Site Reliability Engineering: Ensure the reliability and availability of our platform through proactive monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement.
- Security Oversight: Develop and implement security strategies to protect our platform and data. Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
- Quality Assurance: Lead the QA team to ensure the highest standards of software quality. Implement automated testing frameworks and ensure thorough testing of all releases.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for development, deployment, and maintenance processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering management, leading teams of SREs, infrastructure, security, or QA engineers.
- At least two of the following
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proven experience in implementing and managing SRE practices.
- Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and QA processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering management or CTO role within a SaaS environment.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, etc.).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub , GitLab).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in Japanese
