Responsibilities
- Improve the operational environment for various services at Buzzreach
- Develop and operate tools to automate various operations
- Build and manage a monitoring environment for failure detection and capacity planning
- Manage applications and middleware, improving performance
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an SRE or DevOps engineer
- Experience in leading the design of infrastructure architecture for web services
- Development and operation experience in cloud environments like AWS
- Experience in infrastructure development and operation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Experience designing, developing, and operating monitoring systems using tools like Prometheus or SaaS solutions like Datadog
- Conversational Japanese
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Experience in performance tuning and building high availability for middleware such as Elasticsearch (OpenSearch) or MySQL
- Experience with Policy as Code using tools like Conftest
- Experience in designing and operating SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs

- Experience in both frontend and backend development and operations
- Experience in the development and operation of serverless applications and infrastructure

Compensation
8 to 12 million JPY annually.
