About the position

As a Senior Product Designer of MANA, you will strive to empower users by designing AI-driven solutions that enhance their daily workflows. Take ownership of the entire design process, collaborating closely with a supportive team of designers, product managers, and developers to deliver the best possible web platform experiences. You will leverage your expertise in AI and LLM technologies to advocate for users, develop innovative solutions to complex challenges, and ensure our products stay ahead of the latest design and technology trends.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership & Collaboration
    • Lead the full design lifecycle from concept to execution, collaborating with teammates to define and implement solutions.
    • Partner with PO/PMs to clarify use cases, scope, and requirements, ensuring seamless alignment with business goals and user needs.
    • Present compelling, user-centered design solutions to stakeholders, gathering feedback and fostering consensus by addressing user goals and pain points to drive product success.
  • UI/UX Design
    • Craft detailed user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance usability with business objectives.
    • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design hand-off and promptly address any design-related issues.
    • Continuously iterate on designs based on stakeholder feedback, research findings, and user testing results.
    • Anticipate UI changes and strategically plan design iterations, mapping out a forward-thinking design roadmap.
  • Design System
    • Reuse, maintain, and enhance design system components and patterns to ensure consistency across all products.
    • Advocate for best practices in design systems, promoting their adoption to streamline collaboration and elevate quality.
    • Champion the use of design systems across teams to enhance collaboration efficiency and the caliber of collective output.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio showcasing past project in product design is a must
  • 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design (flexible based on ability)
  • Solid understanding of the design process and can skillfully adapt it to suit each project’s needs.
  • Solid proficiency in UI visual design.
  • Solid experience managing design systems and collaborating with other designers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams as a design owner.

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Proficient in web design with a solid understanding of Responsive Web Design (RWD).
  • Experience in defining and driving the product’s visual tone and language.
  • Experience in conducting user research, usability testing and data analysis.
  • Background in designing SaaS and AI/LLM-driven products.
  • Mentor junior designers, supporting their growth and skill development.
  • Conversational proficiency in Japanese.

Compensation

7 to 9 million JPY annually.
