About the position

We are looking for a skilled Product Development Manager to help us expand Track, a platform that assists companies in training and evaluating technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and designers to transform high-level strategies into compelling narratives and a product roadmap.
  • Convert the product roadmap into detailed requirements and actionable development plans.
  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog.
  • Design and create specifications and detailed user stories in partnership with designers and engineers.
  • Serve as a liaison between the development team and users/stakeholders to effectively communicate requirements and track development progress.
  • Continuously integrate user and stakeholder feedback, market trends, and analytical data into the product development process.
  • Lead decision-making in the face of uncertainty and incomplete data to guide the team in consistently pursuing the most impactful projects.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in software development teams, including a minimum of 2 years in a PM/PdM/TPdM role
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering products
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems, think strategically, and translate user and stakeholder needs into actionable development priorities
  • Naturally documents everything to keep the team aligned
  • Communicates effectively, making complex concepts easy to understand
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools such as Jira
  • Business-level proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Japanese

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing past projects in product design
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a PM/PdM/TPdM role, primarily focused on building B2B products
  • Understanding of Japanese business culture and the dynamics of the tech market in Japan
  • Experience contributing to global expansion strategies or products entering international markets
  • Background in software engineering or UI/UX design
  • Strong interest in emerging technology trends
  • Experience working in remote teams, particularly with asynchronous working styles
  • A knack for bridging cultural and language gaps
  • Experience with and/or a strong interest in data analysis

Compensation

7 to 10 million JPY annually.
