About the position

Experience Design Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the entire customer experience for the products and services we will build together with our clients and partners. Your mission is to create seamless, delightful interactions that resonate with users and drive business success. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and product management, to translate strategic vision into exceptional user experiences.

We are focused on bringing modern technology to traditional businesses such as manufacturing, energy, agriculture and other areas which have not been using technology. In those areas, you will work on complex scenarios which you would often design and build solutions with combination of hardware and software. Unlike typical software service business, you will work on more interesting and advanced scenarios which could become one-of-a-kind services.

You will also have great experience of leading agile transformation within a large-scale organization through building new services or products. Working with a multicultural team is also giving you an opportunity to go out to international market.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop a high-level strategy for product and service experiences, aligning them with business goals.
    • Architect the overall experience ecosystem, considering touchpoints across web, mobile, and other platforms.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define user experience (UX) principles and guidelines.
  • Information Architecture
    • Create and maintain a reference architecture for our portfolio of digital experience solutions.
    • Establish design guidelines (DEG) and best practices to be used consistently across the ecosystem.
    • Produce and evaluate functional design requirements.
  • User-Centric Design:
    • Implement personas, journey maps, and storyboards to inform design decisions.
    • Ensure a consistent corporate look and feel across all digital touchpoints.
    • Analyze website content and design, continuously improving usability.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with design and engineering teams to implement UI and UX solutions.
    • Facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions to ideate and iterate on designs.
    • Engage in cross-functional collaboration to address complexity and ambiguity.

In addition, the role is expected to support pre-sales through working with client leadership and account team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years as UX/UI designer and/or experience designer.
  • Design thinking process and framework.
  • Familiarization with workshop and co-creation techniques.
  • Information architecture and experience architecture.
  • Conversational Japanese ability
  • Either a current resident of Japan, or the ability to become one without us providing visa sponsorship
  • Excellent communication skills. Inspire and lead people toward the goal. Create and harvest culture to embrace success or failure to build a better tomorrow.
  • Proactively update knowledge around technology and design.
  • Extremely hands-on.
  • Comfortable to deal with ambiguity.
  • Self-directed and take ownership.
