We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who wants to build great products, grow into a leadership role, and help shape the future of our platform, our engineering team/culture, and our company.
We welcome developers with experience in any language—Java, Go, Python, PHP, etc. As long as you’re excited to work in our stack (Next.js/TypeScript and Rails/Vue.js) and willing to learn, you’re a fit.
Our product, KATIX, is currently focused on helping people sell bikes and cars, but we’re actively working to expand into new verticals. The bike platform is built with Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, and Node.js. The car platform uses Next.js and TypeScript. Both systems are containerized with Docker and deployed to AWS. As a full stack engineer, you’ll join one of these teams and help us scale.

p.s. I will personally handhold every qualified individual through our interview process. My assumption is everyone who applies will have a decent amount of skill as a software engineer. So because we’re looking for ‘potential tech leads’, what you’ll effectively be measured against then is how well you can communicate with others.
Responsibilities
- Build web frontends using Vue.js or Next.js
- Build backend APIs using Ruby on Rails or Node.js
- Support DevOps (CI/CD with GitHub Actions, ECS, ECR, Load Balancers, Monitoring, etc.)
Requirements
- 2+ years of full stack web development experience (any language)
- Able to do a technical interview in Japanese. Your Japanese ability doesn’t have to be perfect, but for reference, we’re looking for someone on the upper side of JLPT N3 or N2 (certificate not required).
- Experience working in a team based environment for 1 year or more (with 3 members or more)
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Experience with Rails, TypeScript, Next.js, or Vue.js
- Experience as a Tech Lead
- Experience working in Scrum teams
Compensation
5 to 9 million JPY annually.
