Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business, Engineering, and Operations) to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights that inform business decisions.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements or new business initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that help teams monitor key metrics and performance.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience working with large datasets and understanding data integrity and validation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Familiarity with programming languages used for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Experience with data governance practices to ensure data quality and consistency across the organization.
  • Familiarity with self-service BI environments that empower teams to explore data independently.

Compensation

14 to 15 million JPY annually.

Includes (rough estimate of) profit share. Based on experience and skill level.

Hiring Process

  1. 1

    Initial Screening

Your application will be reviewed by our engineers. Rather than just your work history, we’re looking for something that demonstrates a passion for programming. This could be a personal project or open source contributions for instance. We want to work with people who love their trade, and work to improve their skills.

  2. 2

    Two interviews

We’ll ask you to present to us something that you’ve built and can speak passionately about. Our engineers will then ask you open ended questions about what you’ve built. We’ve found this approach allows you to highlight your strengths to us, and demonstrate how you’d fit into the team.

  3. 3

    Offer

After you pass two rounds of interviews, we’ll typically make an offer.
