About the position

The Product Operations Manager, KOMOJU, is responsible for identifying bottlenecks in the operations process, establishing the appropriate operations process, and developing the necessary infrastructure to ensure the stable and efficient operation of KOMOJU’s rapidly growing product line.

Responsibilities

  • Discovering operational obstacles through dialogue with departments involved in operations
  • Propose and obtain consensus from internal stakeholders on feature development and operational processes for future stable operations.
  • Communicate with engineers through meetings and documentation of features to be developed to ensure smooth completion of development.
  • Implement new operational processes through documentation of operational processes and training of employees.
  • Understand exactly what specific features KOMOJU has that are growing every day and where we want to go in the future
  • Provide input to the product development team to ensure that product development specifications are realistic and operational, and contribute to specification improvements.
  • Establish KPIs for the operations of KOMOJU and disseminate them within the company

Requirements

  • Experience working in a SaaS operating company with a modern product development organization
  • In-depth knowledge of software development technologies
  • High level of written and direct communication skills to facilitate decision making among diverse stakeholders
  • Problem-solving skills to find appropriate solutions to various problems, including conflicts and trade-offs
  • Proactive in making proposals for KOMOJU’s growth, both internally and externally.

  • Business level Japanese

    Initial Screening

    Your application will be reviewed by our engineers. Rather than just your work history, we’re looking for something that demonstrates a passion for programming. This could be a personal project or open source contributions for instance. We want to work with people who love their trade, and work to improve their skills.

    Two interviews

    We’ll ask you to present to us something that you’ve built and can speak passionately about. Our engineers will then ask you open ended questions about what you’ve built. We’ve found this approach allows you to highlight your strengths to us, and demonstrate how you’d fit into the team.

    Offer

    After you pass two rounds of interviews, we’ll typically make an offer.
