About the position

We are seeking a talented data scientist to spearhead our price modelling initiative. This role involves leveraging vast amounts of data and employing multiple strategies, including machine learning, to develop innovative and accurate pricing models. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced price modeling algorithms using e.g., machine learning techniques.
  • Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and inform pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate pricing models into our business operations.
  • Continuously improve and refine pricing models based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the executive team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Proven experience in price modeling and/or machine learning.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
  • Expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Conversational Japanese ability. You may occasionally use Japanese when communicating internally with other members or to read technical documentation.

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
