Our response to COVID-19
Along with many other countries, Japan is expanding entry/visa restrictions in line with the WHO’s decision to declare the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic on March 11th. We are trying our best to minimize the impact, but inevitably we may be unable to continue the hiring process with every candidate at this time. About the position
The team is responsible for the development of all products using web technology, such as WebView pages called from within Mercari’s web version and native app, tools used by the Customer Support Team for answering user inquiries and providing transaction support, and the Mercari Guide and Mercari Box.
The team currently has 20 members, half of which are English speakers.
Engineers will develop and improve features for products such as WebView pages called from within Mercari’s web version and native app, along with tools used by the Customer Support Team for answering user inquiries and providing transaction support. Engineers in the Frontend Team are expected to use their technical skills to lead the team and product development, train members though design and code reviews, and make contributions and improvements to the hiring process, including technical tests.
