Tasked with the pivotal role of bringing our product visions to life, our engineers collaborate closely with product leaders, drawing upon the robust infrastructure laid down by our platform teams. Responsibilities

  • Potential Succession: Work closely with existing senior engineering leaders, gradually stepping into their roles and continuing their impactful work. Contribute to succession planning efforts by identifying and nurturing talent within the organization.
  • Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to drive the company’s growth and take it to the next level. Implement innovative strategies for improved business outcomes and increased market presence.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire large-scale teams of engineers, facilitating a collaborative environment that fosters excellence and high performance. Mentor and develop engineering leaders to support their professional growth and continued success.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement, both within engineering and across the wider organization. Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality through the implementation of industry-recognized best practices.

Requirements

  • Shared understanding and belief in our company’s mission and values
  • Proven experience in senior leadership positions, successfully managing and leading teams of engineers. Previous experience with scaling tech companies and managing other senior leaders is highly desirable.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience working on large-scale products ideally B2C or C2C platforms. Knowledge of modern web technologies is essential.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to contribute to new business ventures, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver impactful results. Experience with global companies and operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is preferred.
  • Language Skills: You are Proficient (CEFR - C1) in English and Japanese and have the ability to communicate and understand nuances and actively participate in meetings in both languages.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor individuals at all levels. A track record of driving high performance and a commitment to developing talent. Experience managing managers
