About the position

The role primarily involves leading the promotion, design, and implementation of automated testing aimed at improving the quality of our multi-product lineup, particularly centered on our flagship product, MicoCloud.

You will be responsible for driving improvements in both the efficiency of quality assurance processes and overall product quality.

Our company has established a global development framework, actively enhancing collaboration among engineers located in Japan, India, and the Philippines. Within this environment, bilingual QA engineers (Japanese and English) play an extremely vital role, serving as a bridge between these international teams.

You will be assigned to the QA team within the Innovation & Engineering Division. The QA team currently consists of 14 members and is primarily engaged in quality assurance activities across multiple products, with a particular focus on “MicoCloud.”

Responsibilities

  • Planning and strategizing test automation across multiple products, including the flagship product.
  • Designing, developing, operating, and maintaining automated tests.
  • Integrating and managing automated tests within the CI/CD environment.
  • Promoting QA process improvement and enhancing test efficiency.
  • Communicating quality issues clearly with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Analyzing bugs, identifying root causes, and proposing improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
  • Practical experience with test frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Experience in test planning, design, and execution as a QA engineer.
  • Experience creating test cases and scenarios.
  • Knowledge and experience in software quality management.
  • Business-level communication skills in Japanese

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD environments using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience in web application development (backend and/or frontend).
  • Work experience in startup or agile environments.
  • Experience conducting performance and load testing.
  • Knowledge of and experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • Experience as a team lead or mentor in a QA engineering role.

Compensation

5 to 9 million JPY annually.
