At the Fukuoka office, we are developing "MoneyForward Cloud Expense" and "MoneyForward Cloud Debt Payment". These are Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for businesses, which automate and streamline expense reimbursement and debt payment by integrating data from various back-office related platforms and applications.
As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for developing "MoneyForward Cloud Debt Payment" using Ruby on Rails. It is necessary to provide new functions quickly to meet user needs, while at the same time maintaining stable operations and high service quality.
We are looking for a backend engineer who can collaborate effectively with team members, addressing challenges and contributing to the continuous evolution of our products.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop web applications with Ruby.
- Improve team workflow and development processes.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand and translate their requirements into the team's technical requirements.
- Support team members through code reviews.
- Plan for future resources requirements and collaborate with the hiring efforts
- Other activities such as public relations, and participation in team/organizational development, depending on the individual's intentions
- Promote globalization of the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of web application development experiences using Ruby
- Successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production-ready software.
- Experience with working in an Agile/Scrum team.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Nice to haves

- Experience with GraphQL and REST API development
- Experience in MySQL development
- Experience in team development using GitHub, CI, Lint, etc.
- Experience with design patterns (GoF), domain-driven design, clean architecture, etc.
Compensation
Depending on your experience and skills, you may be offered one of the following.
- Backend Engineer III : Min 580 - Max 700 Japanese Yen / Year (Gross)
- Senior Backend Engineer : Min 700 - Max 900 Japanese Yen / Year (Gross)
