About the position

You will be responsible for the overall QA activities of our products. You will be involved in all aspects related to product quality, including not only verifying behavior according to specifications, but also reviewing and improving specifications, conducting UI/UX verification, and improving the development process.

Responsibilities

  • Mentoring and developing the QA team (including regular 1-on-1 meetings with team members)
  • Providing technical support and reviews to team members
  • Proactively collaborating with the development team, Product Managers (PdM), and other departments
  • Review and improvement of specifications in the upstream phase of the development process
  • Test planning, design, execution, management, and bug reporting
  • Negotiation and coordination with engineers
  • Promotion of test efficiency and automation for web and backend systems
  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of various tests (API, E2E, UI, regression)
  • Improvement tasks related to the entire development process, assuming an Agile environment

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in development or QA at a business company
  • QA experience in web or mobile applications
  • Experience in setting up test environments and knowledge of CI/CD
  • QA experience for services developed with microservices architecture
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and user feedback to identify challenges
  • Knowledge and experience in process improvement within projects
  • Fluent Japanese

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • ISTQB/JSTQB Advanced Level Test Manager certification
  • Experience in E2E test development using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
  • Experience testing applications that use databases
  • QA experience in the sales industry or SaaS products

Compensation

5.6 to 9 million JPY annually.
