About the position

As a Technical Product Owner at Tektome, you will be the key link between product/project management to technical execution. You will work closely with stakeholders, developers, and product teams to drive the development of our digital products. In this role, you will own the implementation management of the product backlog and ensure the successful execution of the product vision. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, agile experience, and strong communication skills to align teams and ensure the technical aspects of the product are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Product Technical Management
    • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria
    • Ensure development teams have a clear understanding of deliverables and expected outcomes.
  • Agile Practices & Sprint Facilitation
    • Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
    • Monitor sprint progress, remove blockers, and ensure agile best practices are followed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders regarding the product’s development and functionality, with a focus on the technical structure of the product
    • Create dashboards and reports for product usage with a focus on the technical aspects (performance, engagement etc)
  • Quality Assurance
    • Define and validate acceptance criteria for deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes
    • Collaborate with QA teams to integrate testing into the development process
  • Technical Development
    • Explore, create, propose new product features from technical knowledge in the area of AI
    • Stay up to date with the latest developments in industry and be an advocate for the adoption of AI within the organization

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or a technical leadership role in software development
  • Proven experience in managing product backlogs and leading agile teams
  • Solid technical background with an understanding of software development processes and web technologies
  • Experience working with products that have cloud-based solutions, microservices, and API-driven architectures
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English or Japanese, with the ability to navigate multi-cultural teams and stakeholders
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or other agile management platforms

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
  • Experience working in the AEC or construction technology industry
  • Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application in software development
  • Ability to analyze data, metrics, and KPIs to drive product decisions and improvements
  • N2 Japanese
