Join us for a unique four to six-week onsite tech internship with HENNGE this summer, offering you both personal and professional development opportunities. You will work alongside our experienced Cloud Product Development engineers with a dedicated mentor while experiencing working in a Japanese company that prides itself on cultivating an internationally diverse culture.
In the HENNGE’s Global Internship Program, you will acquire practical application development skills using Python, Go, and/or TypeScript. This program will give you hands-on experience using state-of-the-art cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, offering a full-stack experience for application development. Japanese ability is not required as English is our primary language.
All interns are required to join our internship program in our headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, for 4-6 weeks, from 10 AM - 7 PM (JST), Monday to Friday.
Available batches
- August 1 - September 13, 2024 (6 weeks). Applications close March 31, 2024, 23:59 (JST).
- October 1 - November 1, 2024 (5 weeks). Applications close April 26, 2024, 23:59 (JST).
Please note that applicants who submit their challenge after the deadline may not be eligible for the aforementioned batch.
The internship slots for this batch are limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Our team will review applications on a rolling basis, so it is in your best interest to apply early. Applications will be closed after the slots have been filled. Solving time will not be considered during the screening process.
Internship Flow

Requirements
- At least third-year students or fresh graduates with BS, MS or PhD in Computer Sciences or a related field
- Knowledge of Unix / Linux environments
- Programming experience in any language
- Willing to participate in the internship in-person at our headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan
Nice to haves

Compensation
While this is an unpaid training program, we do provide some financial support:
- Round-trip airfares from and back to your country of residence
- Medical insurance (for interns who do not reside in Japan) and a phone with mobile data will be provided during your internship in Tokyo, Japan
- Monthly subsidy to cover accommodation, meals, transportation, and networking activities
