Aika May Talavera is half-Japanese, half-Filipino and the founder of Kigaru Talks, a Japanese speaking app. She speaks five languages, grew up on U.S. military bases across Japan, and specialises in language education and cross-cultural communication. She created Kigaru Talks to make speaking Japanese practical, culturally relevant, and less intimidating.
