This role requires someone who can independently identify quality gaps, propose practical solutions, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to improve release confidence while maintaining agility and development speed.

Technologies Used:

  • Frontend: Nuxt.js, TypeScript, Electron.js
  • Backend: Node.js, TypeScript
  • Cloud: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure
  • Database: PostgreSQL, Amazon DynamoDB
  • Automation: Playwright
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions

Note: The above technologies are examples of what we currently use. As the first QA engineer, you will also have the opportunity to influence testing strategy, tooling, and quality processes across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Understand product workflows, business requirements, and release processes to identify quality risks and testing gaps.
  • Establish and improve QA processes, including regression testing, exploratory testing, release validation, and bug reporting standards.

  • Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to improve overall product quality and release confidence.
  • Review and improve existing Playwright automation coverage together with engineering teams.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and help define long-term quality engineering strategy.
  • Contribute to improving CI/CD quality gates and release validation workflows.
  • Drive quality-focused discussions and help establish scalable engineering quality practices across the organization.
  • Take ownership of quality initiatives and proactively identify areas for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in QA / Quality Engineering for product-based applications in both Manual and Automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with functional, exploratory, and regression testing.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup or product development environments.
  • Experience with browser automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
