About the position

As the VP of Product Management, you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for one of the core product lines. Leading a team of dedicated product managers, you’ll ensure that our product roadmaps align with amptalk’s goals while meeting the evolving needs of our customers. Your role will be to deliver high-quality products, across our portfolio, with agility and efficiency, driving innovation and maintaining our competitive edge in the SaaS landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Domain Knowledge
    • Domain experience or knowledge in the sales area. If lacking, fluency in Japanese is required for effective domain understanding.
  • Strategic Leadership and Product Vision
    • Develop and communicate a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap, using market insights and customer needs to enhance the product’s competitive positioning.
    • Own and drive the product vision, aligning it with critical business metrics and company growth initiatives.
    • Execution and Product Lifecycle Management
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, guiding a high-performing team to deliver timely, impactful product releases.
    • Ensure product launches are strategically aligned with go-to-market objectives and continuously evaluate product performance post-launch.
    • Innovation and Market Differentiation
  • Champion innovative features and incorporate cutting-edge technologies to maintain market differentiation.
    • Drive the development of new features and products that address customer pain points and deepen engagement with our platform.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to translate complex market requirements into executable strategies.
    • Act as a bridge across departments, ensuring transparency, alignment, and cohesion within the organization.
    • User-Centric Product Development
  • Establish processes to capture user feedback, analyze customer data, and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
    • Promote customer-focused product enhancements to achieve high satisfaction and maximize retention rates.
    • Mentorship and Talent Development
  • Build and mentor a robust product team, fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and collaboration.
    • Attract top product talent and support their development within the organization, aligning their growth with company objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of success in delivering scalable SaaS solutions and driving product transformations.
  • Strong capability to synthesize market trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and scaling high-performing product teams.
  • Proficiency in Japanese.
