We are looking for someone who can help our team of engineers to deliver great user experiences, developing both frontend and backend system requirements. Our team has been expanding rapidly in recent years, so someone who loves to work in a fast-paced environment would be preferred. Your primary focus is to maintain and build new features for our Node.js and/or Ruby on Rails apps, while sharing and contributing to our culture of continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Understand product goals and feature requests and translate them into working software
- Support team members through code review and architecture decisions
- Write tests that validate the stability and correctness of implementations
- Handle refactorings with both bravery and care
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-stack experience, including 2+ years building modern apps with frameworks such as React or Vue
- Experience building database-backed REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Experience translating designs into interactive frontend apps
- A knack for writing clean, readable code in object oriented and functional styles
- Strong unit and integration testing methodology
- Willingness to learn and experiment with new technology (e.g. GraphQL, TypeScript, etc.)
- Efficient time management skill

- Ruby on Rails, Node.js and/or TypeScript experience
- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile development team
- Experience building and deploying containerized applications
- DevOps experience managing cloud infrastructure and/or IoT devices
