Enriching people's lives with AI.
Japan Computer Vision Corp. (JCV), a subsidiary company of SoftBank Corporation, is an AI startup that leverages SenseTime’s image recognition technology to provide cutting-edge solutions for the “smart building” and “smart retail” sectors.

Tremendous growth in a short time
We’ve seen tremendous growth with a 10X increase in revenue and scaling up to 110 employees just by our second year of operation. As we’re still in our early stages, you’ll help shape the work environment, and as we grow, you’ll easily be able to step into more senior positions.
A Silicon Valley startup in Tokyo
We operate like a Silicon Valley startup that’s in the middle of Tokyo. We have leaders in the company who have lived and worked for several years at startups and large corporations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
A diverse international team
Our team is also diverse from different parts of the world. Diversity and inclusiveness are critical to our culture. With diversity, we foster a better work environment that improves our decisions and products.
For our engineering positions, we don’t require any Japanese abilities, and if you live abroad, we can help you get your visa to come to Tokyo, Japan.
Dedicated to the ethical use of AI technology
There are no available standards yet for the commercial use of AI technology in offline environments including city public spaces, businesses and neighborhoods. Until international standards are developed, we have established our own policy, that warrants all products and technology sold is free from features or capabilities which enable the identification of human beings based on:
- Religious Affiliation
- Political Views
Our Response to COVID-19
With COVID-19, we’ve started to allow employees to work completely remotely, with the option to come into the office for those who way to. Even after the pandemic has subsided, you’ll continue to be able to work remotely from anywhere in Japan.
