About the position

We are looking for a capable engineer who has a strong background in services development and who has built high-performance, scalable, and extensible systems.

You will be working within a small, but effective engineering team and with your strong attention to detail you will help us to find the best solutions to important problems, always keeping the user in mind.

Requirements

  • Passion for LanCul’s culture and values
  • Ability to architect layered and complex systems, defining API boundaries with high-quality APIs, with an emphasis on microservices, separation of concerns, and scalability.
  • 1+ year Experience in working with Python.
  • 1+ year experience in working with AWS (API Gateway and Lambdas are a bonus)
  • Capable of clearly communicating complex analyses to a non-technical audience, including extensive experience presenting to leadership groups
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently, raise issues and take corrective action
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-functional team on projects that have a high impact to both users and to LanCul

Compensation

4.5 to 6.5 million JPY annually. After completing our six month probation period, we typically give a 10-20%% raise.
