About the position

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our global product team for LegalOn: World Leading Legal AI. As a Product Manager at LegalOn Technologies, you will drive the vision and execution of a product that delivers not only meaningful solutions to customer needs, but also moments of delight. Working closely with Product Managers in Japan and the United States, as well as our engineering teams in Japan, you will help shape and deliver a truly global product to the market.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and articulating market trends and the underlying needs of customers
  • Defining a compelling product vision and roadmap that leverages the full potential of AI to deliver real, transformative value
  • Working across Japan–U.S. product and engineering teams to rapidly deliver high-quality products for the global market
  • Own the “Why” and “What” of product development.
  • Partnering with teams in both Japan and the U.S., you will manage the entire product discovery and delivery lifecycle—translating business needs and user insights into clear requirements, driving development, and ensuring successful releases.

Requirements

  • Experience in product management for in-house products, or upstream phases of system development (planning, requirement definition, basic design)
  • 3+ years of product management experience in SaaS or B2B products
  • Ability to identify customer problems through user interviews and qualitative/quantitative analysis
  • Strong leadership in driving problem-solving, influencing stakeholders, and leading initiatives to completion
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for collaborating with teams in both Japan and the U.S.
    • Japanese: Fluent (JLPT N1 equivalent or above). Able to lead meetings and drive alignment
    • English: Fluent (CEFR C1 equivalent; e.g., IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL iBT 95+). Able to read/write technical and business documentation and actively participate in discussions
  • You will use both English and Japanese to create internal/external documentation (including PRDs) and to communicate with our U.S. and Japan teams.

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Project management experience
  • Broad knowledge of IT and AI-related technologies (including generative AI)
  • Experience working in agile development with engineers and designers
  • Domain knowledge in legal or contract-related workflows

Compensation

¥7,200,000 ~ ¥20,000,000 annually.
