The Cloud Engineering Team is responsible for the infrastructure and systems that support the reliability and scalability of Mico’s products. The team works across Mico’s entire product portfolio, including both new and existing products.
Cloud Engineering works across three complementary areas. Rather than creating separate silos, the team aims to work across all three areas as needed.
- Infrastructure: Cloud architecture primarily using AWS, networking and compute, cost optimization, and compliance with security requirements
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, automation and tooling, release management, and improving the developer experience
- SRE: SLIs/SLOs and error budgets, incident response, observability, and postmortems
In this role, you will develop strategies for growing the team and key projects while providing technical leadership across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop growth strategies for the team and projects, and drive their execution by involving stakeholders both inside and outside the company
- Lead technical projects with measurable outcomes
- Lead cross-functional projects
- Design and implement improvements to increase system reliability and scalability
- Define and operate SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to manage reliability targets
- Respond to incidents
- Establish and standardize root cause analysis (RCA) processes and foster a blameless postmortem culture
- Design and improve observability infrastructure for metrics, logs, and traces
- Improve developer productivity by developing CI/CD pipelines and release management processes
- Improve visibility into cloud costs and optimize cloud spending
- Work with the company-wide security team to implement and comply with security requirements
- Collaborate with development and product teams
- Document and share knowledge and best practices
Requirements
- Experience designing, building, and operating systems using cloud services such as AWS
- Experience building infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK
- Experience designing, building, and operating CI/CD and DevOps pipelines
- Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of system architecture
- Experience making and driving technical decisions at the team or project level
- Ability to build consensus and involve stakeholders across departments
- Business-level English or higher
- Japanese proficiency of JLPT N3 or equivalent or higher (at least basic business-level Japanese)

Compensation
¥7,000,000 ~ ¥11,000,000 annually.
