About NaLaLys

NaLaLys Minatoku, Tokyo

NaLaLys builds AI-driven SaaS products that help enterprises detect and prevent internal fraud, misconduct, and compliance violations. Our Compliance Cloud platform automatically analyzes emails, chat messages, and voice calls to identify risks before they escalate. Since launching in 2023, we have been adopted by major enterprise clients across Japan and are now evolving into a comprehensive compliance platform.

About the position

As interest from large enterprises continues to grow, expectations around our system’s reliability, availability, and security have increased significantly. Because our products handle highly confidential information—including business emails and internal whistleblowing reports—we’re held to an even higher standard than a typical SaaS company.

As we continue expanding our product lineup, we need to build scalable, repeatable operational and development platforms rather than relying on ad hoc processes.

To support this next stage of growth, we’re looking for our first dedicated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead improvements in both product reliability and engineering productivity.

Tech Stack

  • Infrastructure: AWS, Docker
  • Backend: Go, Python, Node.js
  • Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions
  • Communication: Slack, Notion
  • Project Management: Jira

AI Tools

We provide the following AI tools as standard across the company, regardless of role:

  • Claude Code
  • Cursor
  • Google Gemini
  • Microsoft Copilot

We’re also open to adopting additional AI tools when they provide value.

Responsibilities

You’ll lead the design and evolution of the shared platform that supports multiple products, taking ownership of infrastructure architecture, operations, monitoring, and security.

This isn’t simply an infrastructure operations role. You’ll build the systems and processes that improve product reliability while enabling the company to scale.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and operating cloud infrastructure
  • Improving and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines
  • Enhancing system reliability, availability, and security
  • Building monitoring and alerting systems, and improving incident response processes
  • Automating operations and improving developer productivity
  • Contributing to backend development in Go or Python when needed

Requirements

  • Experience designing, building, and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience designing and operating systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and security
  • A track record of proactively identifying technical challenges and driving improvements through to completion
  • Experience developing backend web applications
  • Ability to use AI tools effectively for software development, independently solving problems and learning new technologies
  • Business-level Japanese communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, write clearly, and express ideas logically in a business environment

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Experience developing backend applications in Go or Python
  • Experience building operational and monitoring systems for enterprise SaaS products
  • Experience designing systems with stringent security requirements
  • Experience taking ownership of a team’s delivery outcomes, regardless of official title

Compensation

¥7,800,000 ~ ¥10,800,000 annually.

Hiring Process

  1. 1

    Resume screening

  2. 2

    Two to three online interviews

Candidates complete a technical assignment with a seven-day deadline.

  3. 3

Reference interviews with two former colleagues

We’ll conduct reference interviews with two people you’ve worked with in the past.

  4. 4

    Final interview at our headquarters
