Responsibilities
- Take ownership of feature development and improvements based on Quollio’s technology stack, requirements, and development roadmap, while also leading the team.
- Act as a principal backend engineer by ensuring and enhancing the overall quality of the team’s output.
- Contribute to the company’s business growth and customer satisfaction under the direction of senior management.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders (such as product managers, sales, and support) through regular reporting and communication to align with product strategy and business context.
- Proactively engage in mutual discussions within the team, leading design and process improvements.
- Deliver high-quality, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences that meet the expectations of Japanese customers.
Requirements
- 10+ years backend development experience
- 5+ years development team leader experience
- Japanese language proficiency sufficient to gather requirements from Japanese clients
Nice to haves

- Golang or Python experience
- Experience in developing software products for enterprise customers
- Experience in developing technologies such as Japanese natural language processing or AI
- Hands-on experience in data management, data engineering, or data analysis

Compensation
9.8 to 15 million JPY annually.
