As a Productivity Engineer at this level, you will develop your engineering foundation by delivering tangible improvements to internal tools, automation, and platform operations under the guidance of senior team members, while taking ownership of the systems you contribute to.

Responsibilities

Pillar ① Internal Systems & Tooling

  • Implement internal tools, scripts, admin console extensions, and small-scale operational systems under the guidance and code review of senior team members

  • Maintain and incrementally improve assigned systems, ensuring reliability and operational quality

  • Proactively surface improvement opportunities discovered through hands-on work

Pillar ② Workflow Automation & AI Integration

  • Build automation scripts and small-scale pipelines under guidance

  • Learn and apply patterns for embedding AI/LLM APIs, agents, and skills into operational workflows

Pillar ④ Cross-Functional Operational Improvement

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders in your assigned projects: gather requirements, confirm understanding, and share progress

  • Identify operational pain points within your scope and propose improvements

  • Complete small-to-medium improvement tasks end-to-end with senior guidance on direction and trade-offs

Requirements

  • Hands-on implementation skills to build automation and tooling by combining scripts and APIs (Python, Node.js, TypeScript, etc.)
  • Experience driving research, validation, and implementation independently while leveraging AI tools
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Experience with CRM or ticketing SaaS platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, etc.)

  • Experience with workflow automation tools (Zapier, Workato, GitHub Actions, etc.)
