AI Mage’s mission is to bring smoother collaboration to the anime industry through the power of AI. Its core product, AGI (Anime General Intelligence), is an “anime-obsessed AI” that deeply understands anime properties and gathers the information you need — like a mage casting the right spell at the right time. Across production, licensing, and supervision workflows, AGI helps stakeholders within and between companies build shared understanding of a property’s vision and rules, enabling seamless collaboration and faster decision-making.
The goal: to untangle the complex processes that define Japan’s anime industry, so that great works can reach fans around the world — faster and more widely than ever before.
A Purpose-Built Intelligence for Anime
AGI is not a general-purpose AI repurposed for entertainment. It is built from the ground up to understand the intricate structures of anime — from character settings and color design rules to storyline arcs and world-building logic. This deep, domain-specific understanding allows it to support licensing checks, supervision workflows, and cross-company coordination with a level of accuracy that generic tools simply cannot match. Technology choices are made pragmatically, optimized for the unique demands of anime industry workflows rather than chasing trends.
A Multilingual, Focused Engineering Team
The engineering team consists of six full-time members working closely together to build AGI. With a majority of Chinese-speaking engineers, the team operates in a trilingual environment — primarily in Chinese, with Japanese and English used alongside. This multilingual makeup reflects the cross-border nature of the anime industry itself, and enables the team to navigate both the technical and cultural dimensions of the product with fluency.
