Responsibilities
- Designing Data Infrastructure and AI Pipelines:
- Create and maintain data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Envision, build, deploy, and operationalize end-to-end machine learning (ML) and AI pipelines.
- Collaborate with data scientists and other AI professionals to identify and pilot AI use cases.
- Translate business leaders’ vision into realistic technical implementations, considering feasibility and architectural design.
- Agile and DevOps Integration for AI:
- Align technical implementation with existing and future requirements by gathering inputs from multiple stakeholders.
- Select appropriate technologies from a pool of open-source and commercial offerings.
- Ensure seamless integration of AI tools with existing data management and analytics systems.
- Audit AI practices across data, models, and software engineering for continuous improvement.
- Data Governance, Security, and Ethical AI:
- Audit databases regularly to maintain data quality and security.
- Work closely with security and risk leaders to address risks related to AI model training and deployment.
- Ensure ethical AI implementation and restore trust in AI systems.
- Scalability, Performance, and Innovation:
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and scalability. Identify areas for improvement in current systems.
- Stay abreast of AI advancements and propose innovative solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Collaborate effectively within the information technology department.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
In addition, the role is expected to support pre-sales through working with client leadership and client management team.
Requirements
- 7+ years professional experience
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role.
- Proficiency in database design and data transformation, ETL/ELT.
- Hands on experience in database applications, big data solutions such as SQL Server, Big Query, Apache Spark, Hadoop etc.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and tools.
- Conversational Japanese ability
- Either a current resident of Japan, or the ability to become one without us providing visa sponsorship
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
