About the position

Join us for a unique 4-6 weeks of tech internship in our Shibuya office, offering you both personal and professional development opportunities. Experience working onsite in a Japanese company that prides itself on cultivating an internationally diverse culture.

In the HENNGE’s Global Internship Program (GIP), you will acquire practical application development skills using Python, Go, and/or TypeScript. GIP will provide you with hands-on experience using state-of-the-art cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, offering a full-stack experience for application development.

English is our primary working language, so no Japanese is required. All interns are required to join our internship program in our headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo, for 4-6 weeks, Monday to Friday, from 10 AM to 7 PM (JST). While the program is unpaid, full subsidies are provided for all interns, and qualified candidates may be offered full-time employment opportunities.

Available batches

  • March 17 - April 18, 2025
  • June 2nd - July 11th, 2025
  • August 1st - September 12th, 2025

The internship slots for this batch are limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Our team will review applications on a rolling basis, so it is in your best interest to apply early. Applications will be closed after the slots have been filled. Solving time will not be considered during the screening process.

Internship Flow

  • Week 1 & 2 - Fullstack Training
  • Week 3 & 4 - DevOps Training
  • Week 5 & 6 - Special Project (different for each intern and batch)

Requirements

  • At least third-year students or fresh graduates with BS, MS or PhD in Computer Sciences or a related field
  • Knowledge of Unix / Linux environments
  • Programming experience in any language
  • Willing to participate in the internship in person at our headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Interested in pursuing a career in Japan
  • Interested in Cloud Computing
  • Proficiency with Python or Go
  • Knowledge of distributed systems
  • Experience in Full-stack Web Application development

Compensation

While this is an unpaid training program, we do provide some financial support:

  • Round-trip airfares from and back to your country of residence
  • Medical insurance (for interns who do not reside in Japan) and a phone with mobile data will be provided during your internship in Tokyo, Japan
  • Monthly subsidy to cover accommodation, meals, transportation, and networking activities
