About the position

You’ll work alongside our sales team to directly communicate with our Japanese customers, bridging them with our English-speaking engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Set up StellarStation to connect Satellite Operator’s Mission Control Centers
  • Set up StellarStation to connect with Ground Stations
  • Develop verification tests plan of customers requirements
  • Conduct verification tests of StellarStation Platform to verify the correctness of StellarStation and meet customer requirements
  • Operate GSaaS, Ground Station as a Service to the Satellite Operators
  • Communicate with the software product team to improve and maintain SLA of StellarStation Platform operation.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace, or equivalent practical experience
  • Communication and documentation skills capable of working with remote team members and clients
  • Enough Japanese to directly communicate with our customers on technical matters. You don’t necessarily need to be fully fluent in Japanese, but should be able to talk with them.
  • Knowledge or interest in Satellite Industry and space technology
  • At least 3 years of engineering experience of communication software
  • Able to work in Tokyo

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Experience with the following software: Linux OS, a programming language (preferably Python), SQL, Git, Grafana, TerraForm
  • Knowledge of Low Earth Orbit Satellite’s orbital analysis theory
  • Knowledge of overall Satellite function theory
  • Professional technical and/or radio operator license holder

Compensation

5.5 to 8.5 million JPY annually.
