About the position

As a Project Manager in the CTO Office, you will lead company-wide, mission-critical projects to success. Your goal will be to enable Money Forward’s engineering organization to deliver value faster, more securely, and on a global scale.

Your primary missions will include:

  • Initiating, planning, driving, and embedding cross-functional, company-wide projects led by the CTO Office.
  • Aligning expectations, supporting decision-making, and resolving issues among diverse stakeholders across multiple departments and roles.
  • Managing projects centered around key strategic themes, such as AI utilization, security enhancement, technical standards, development productivity, and global organization building.
  • Facilitating smooth communication in both Japanese and English with domestic and international engineers, management, and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and Execution Management for Company-Wide AI Initiatives
    • Managing progress, issues, and risks for multi-organizational AI initiatives, including AI utilization platforms, AI agents, AI development tools, and AI usage guidelines.
    • Coordinating with product development teams, platform teams, business units, QA, and security stakeholders.
    • Preparing progress reports, structuring discussion points, and supporting decision-making for the steering committee.
  • Driving Projects Related to Security Enhancement and Governance Strengthening
    • Facilitating post-incident recurrence prevention, development process improvements, security reviews, and governance reviews.
    • Collaborating with the CISO Office, development organizations, and legal/compliance teams.
  • Driving Technical Standards, Architecture Reviews, and Development Process Improvements
    • Supporting the formulation, review, publication, and operational improvement of company-wide technical standards.
    • Optimizing cross-tool operations involving standardization processes, review requests, and approval tracking.
    • Designing, improving, and embedding processes for architecture and governance reviews.
  • Driving Projects Related to Developer Productivity
    • Improving developer portals, consolidating technical information, streamlining knowledge flows for developers, and visualizing tool utilization.
    • Gathering challenges faced by development organizations, aligning with stakeholders on resolution strategies, and translating them into actionable plans.
  • Driving Projects for Global Engineering Organization Building
    • Managing projects in collaboration with engineers, managers, and PMs/PdMs across both Japan and overseas branches.
    • Facilitating meetings, creating documentation, and sharing information via chat tools—all in English.
  • Developing Project Management Infrastructure
    • Managing milestones, schedules, issues, risks, dependencies, and decision logs.
    • Utilizing internal collaboration, document management, and development tools to organize information and ensure high progress transparency.
  • Summarizing complex situations and communicating them at the appropriate level of granularity for executives, management, and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Experience leading projects involving multiple departments and diverse roles.
  • Experience defining project objectives, scopes, milestones, issues, and risks, and driving initiatives forward while engaging stakeholders.
  • Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders, including executives, department heads, engineers, designers, and business teams.
  • Ability to structure discussion points for ambiguous topics, clarifying next steps and decisions to be made.
  • Strong business communication skills in Japanese.
  • Business communication skills in English, at a level sufficient to conduct meetings, chat communications, and documentation with engineers and managers at overseas branches.
  • Experience organizing information and sharing progress using collaboration tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and drive multiple projects forward in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Japanese: Business level or above. Ability to conduct precise business discussions and coordination in Japanese.
  • English: Business level or above. Ability to conduct meetings, chat communications, and documentation in English with engineers, overseas members, and English-speaking managers.

Nice to haves

  • Experience driving projects related to AI utilization, Generative AI, AI agents, or AI development tools.
  • Experience driving projects related to security, governance, risk management, or compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with technical standards, development processes, architecture reviews, or improving developer productivity.
  • Project management experience within global or multinational teams.
  • Professional experience within engineering organizations, product development teams, or SaaS companies.
  • Experience designing, scaling, and embedding organizational processes and operational workflows across multiple departments.
  • Experience in operational and information design by integrating collaboration tools, document management tools, and development-related applications.
  • Experience in software development, engineering management, or product management.
  • Experience in AI development and/or experience in using AI tools to improve development processes.
    • Money Forward recently announced our AI Strategy roadmap which focuses on improving AI-driven operational efficiencies, as well as integrating AI agents into our products to deliver better value to our users.

Note: Hands-on development experience is not required. Rather than the ability to implement technical details yourself, we place a higher priority on the ability to understand technical discussion points, converse effectively with relevant stakeholders, and drive projects forward.

Compensation

¥6,900,000 ~ ¥11,004,000 annually.
