About the position

The cashless payment service “Money Forward Business Card” provides business cards for sole proprietors and corporations as a primary payment method. Our goal is to promote a cashless society through a wide range of payment solutions, starting with card payments.

“Money Forward Business Card” is a cashless platform designed to streamline back-office operations. Users can issue an unlimited number of physical and virtual cards for specific purposes, such as expense reimbursement or procurement, allowing them to consolidate all business expenses into their business card account.

Since its launch in September 2021, the service has shown steady growth. To build an even more robust business for the future, ensuring high quality has become an urgent priority.
We are looking for someone who wants to move beyond the traditional QA framework and join us in exploring new safety nets for the AI era—someone who is ready to take on the challenge of building a system that achieves both high speed and high reliability at the same time.

*This position will be employed by Money Forward and be seconded to Money Forward Kessai.

Responsibilities

  • Test planning, test design/execution, bug reporting, and post-release verification.
  • Test automation (unit/integration/system levels) and orchestration utilizing AI agents
  • Quality assurance design from the prototyping stage (Shift-Left approach).
  • Formulating mid-to-long-term test strategies (including unit, integration, and system testing, as well as functional and non-functional requirements and automation).
  • Defect data collection, measurement, analysis, and development of countermeasures for continuous quality improvement.
  • Standardization or improvement of development and testing processes.

Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge and experience in software testing (equivalent to or higher than JSTQB Foundation Level).
  • Experience in leading test strategy from formulation to execution, guided by QCD principles and the “Test Pyramid” approach in automation.
  • Professional experience as a QA engineer for Web and Mobile services.
  • Experience in cross-organizational test process standardization or improvement.
  • Japanese: JLPT N3 level (Able to handle internal communication using translation tools for both text and conversation).
  • English: Equivalent to TOEIC 700+ (Able to participate in meetings and communicate via text in English immediately upon joining).

Nice to haves

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with software processes in Agile development, such as Scrum and DevOps.
  • A strong sense of responsibility toward product quality and a mindset that finds fulfillment in achieving it.
  • A proactive attitude toward communication with diverse stakeholders across various departments.
  • Experience in AI development and/or experience in using AI tools to improve development processes.
    • Money Forward is at a major turning point, shifting “from Cloud to AI.” We are currently driving “AX (AI Transformation)”—the next step beyond DX—with the goal of providing “Digital Workers,” where AI agents autonomously execute tasks. As we enter a phase of evolving into Japan’s No. 1 back-office AI company by integrating AI agents into all of our products in the future, we are looking for individuals who can contribute to AI-driven development and value creation.
  • Interested in next-generation QA strategies centered on a “Shift-Left” approach.
  • Motivated by close communication with global team members and eager to embrace international QA standards.
