MorningStar is an early-stage, VC-funded startup based in Tokyo, building a product to help job seekers respond to career opportunities they’d otherwise miss. We’re gearing up to launch our initial MVP soon, and are looking for people who want to help shape the product based on what our users actually need.
Day-to-day, English is the primary language across the team, though locally you’ll hear a mix of English and Japanese. A few of our contracted engineering teams also speak Chinese, which is a nice bonus but not a requirement. Right now our team is small: it’s our founding product manager plus a handful of local contractors, with additional technical folks working remotely from abroad. It’s a lean setup, which means you’d be joining right as we bring the first version of the product to market. It’s a good moment to have real influence on how things take shape.
