We are looking for a practically minded Data Scientist to help us with research on ML techniques with a focus on practical application of ML in production systems.
The Data Scientist will help us investigate and research state of the art machine learning techniques and develop models for solving a variety of problems. We use machine learning both to improve our own platform as well as to do proof of concept solutions for clients. We are focused both on giving good results as well as developing models and techniques that can be used in a cloud environment with limited resources.
Responsibilities
- Develop practical solutions for real world problems
- Survey of research papers and implementation based on suggested techniques
- Contribute to our Agile software development process
- Work on our main products as well as smaller projects for specific customers
Requirements
- B.A. or M.S. degree in a related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in developing machine learning systems for production use
- Team development experience
- Strong desire to put technology into actual service
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related technical field
- Knowledge about Computer Vision and/or Natural Language Processing
- Deep understanding of Python/C++
- Experience in handling large-scale data with AWS
- Experience in presenting scientific papers in international conferences
Compensation
8 to 12 million JPY annually.
