TableCheck, Japan’s leading restaurant reservation management platform, is searching for a skilled Elixir Developer for our Data Operations Team. As a member of this team you will own our data-related products and help support our demanding business and developer needs.
We are working on significant improvements to our Data Operations by utilizing new operations frameworks and tooling.
TableCheck has embraced remote work. As such, communication and documentation are in our blood. We emphasize best practices such as agile, scrum, automation, and customer-centric improvements. We look for people who constantly learn from mistakes and adapt, and we expect members of our teams to constantly follow up with questions and updates to keep everyone in the loop.
Our new software stack is being built with the latest technologies including dbt, Airflow, and Broadway. We primarily deploy our services using AWS.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to development and maintenance of TableCheck’s data-related products, which may include data pipelines, data processing systems, and data integration solutions.
- Work closely with other members of the Data Operations Team to understand requirements, propose solutions, and implement features effectively.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data operations frameworks and tooling by leveraging new technologies and industry best practices.
- Identify areas for enhancement and implement solutions to optimise data processing, data quality, and data management workflows.
- The drive to collaborate, gather feedback, solve problems, and tackle challenges through test and learn is highly valuable in this position.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience using Elixir in a production environment.
- Proficient with SQL with knowledge of database internals
- Demonstrated ability to absorb information, manage your own time and commitments, achieve desired results in a highly technical environment
Nice to haves

- Previous startup experience is highly desired
- Experience with Broadway or similar data libraries will be highly considered
- Experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Experience with MongoDB
