As a pioneer in Japan’s Expert Network Service (ENS) industry, having acquired Coleman with the aim of becoming a Global Knowledge platform,we have just entered an ambitious new AI chapter: automating the diffusion of unique human insights that major LLMs haven’t captured yet.
To achieve this, we are seeking Software Engineers who can contribute to both engineering and architecture design by taking charge of designing and implementing autonomous AI agents leveraging predictive and generative models.
We are looking for Mid-level and Senior Talent. VisasQ is a publicly listed company (founded in 2012 and still led by our founder/CEO) that operates with a fast-paced startup/scale-up mindset. We are actively strengthening our core team in Japan while collaborating with our engineering presence across the US and Europe.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams (including Co-CTOs, Team Leads, PdMs, and BizDev) across Japan, the US, and Europe to drive global ENS product strategy.

Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient backend systems and APIs to support core matching, search, and next-generation AI-driven features.

Collaborating on the integration and deployment of autonomous AI agents and LLM orchestration, ensuring optimal backend architecture and system latency.

Promoting a full-cycle development culture by taking ownership of the entire lifecycle, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and production operations/maintenance.

Refactoring legacy code, optimizing database performance, and actively resolving technical debt to ensure long-term system maintainability and scalability.
Requirements

Dual Language Proficiency: Business-level English for cross-border collaboration with global teams, alongside business-level Japanese to seamlessly interface with local product and business stakeholders.
- Production-Grade Backend Experience:
- Mid-level: 3+ years of professional experience building, deploying, and maintaining web applications and scalable APIs using modern backend frameworks.
- Senior-level: 5+ years of experience; capable of designing clean, event-driven architectures, optimizing complex queries, and leading tech-stack selection.
- Software Engineering Fundamentals: Strong commitment to software craftsmanship, including readable/maintainable code, proper unit/integration testing, and solid database design.
