About the position

We build products that make websites, apps, and media multilingual:

  • WOVN.io – websites
  • WOVN.app – smartphone apps
  • WOVN.video – video subtitles

Over 18,000 sites and apps use our services, mainly large enterprises and global companies. Our goal is to keep localization simple and effective while maintaining quality and usability.

On the dev team we follow “Be Agile” — not just in coding, but in observing customers, designing UX, and validating impact. Everyone works full-stack, sharing expertise and picking up new skills as needed.

Tech Stack

  • WOVN.io / WOVN.video: Fastly, Rust, Vue.js, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, Python, AWS/GCP/Azure
  • WOVN.app: Objective-C, Swift, Java, React Native
  • Common: GitHub, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, Devin, Claude Code, Cursor

Requirements

  • 7+ years of web development experience with 2+ years at a single company
  • Interest in languages and internationalization (i18n)
  • Comfortable working fully in-office, as our team relies heavily on whiteboards, mob programming, and face-to-face collaboration rather than asynchronous tools.

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Excellent analytical and creative approaches to problem-solving
  • Experience with large systems development
  • Experience with server/internet security
  • Experience with unit and end-to-end testing
  • Knowledge about algorithms and data structures
  • Knowledge or experience in leveraging AI agents for software development
  • Experience in customer observation and requirements analysis

Compensation

¥6,000,000 ~ ¥9,000,000 annually.
