About the position

As a NLP Research Scientist, you will be responsible for implementing natural language processing technologies while working closely with the engineering team. As the G123 platform grows its portfolio of games and expands globally, your main responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Landing the NLP technologies into the company’s existing product
  • Explore novel innovations
  • Prepare and execute proof-of-concepts of the solutions with stakeholders
  • Deploy successful proof-of-concepts together with engineers

Requirements

  • Research/industry experience in: machine translation, natural language generation, text summarization, dialog system, question answering or equivalent
  • Strong analytical, algorithmic and coding skills
  • Motivated to build innovative systems with AI and NLP technologies
  • Collaborative team player mentality
  • Self-motivated and passionate about solving real-world problems

Nice to haves

These aren’t required, but be sure to mention them in your application if you have them.

  • One server-side programming language (TypeScript, Go, JavaScript, Kotlin, Python)
  • PWA, Web Payments, Web Authentication API (WebAuthn), FedCM
  • WebSocket API (WebSockets), Web APIs, Local Storage
  • Kubernetes (K8s)
  • Can design websites or web applications
  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Can adapt to fast-paced coding and sprints

Compensation

Your compensation will be determined based on your experience as well as the whole interview process. Our salary range is as follows:

  • Level 1: 6-9M JPY
  • Level 2: 8-12M JPY
  • Level 3: 10-33M JPY

The first level is for individual contributors (junior positions), while the last level is for senior and management positions.

Hiring Process

    HR interview

    This is a friendly conversation with one of our recruiters where we’re checking that your general vibe matches, and answer any questions you might have.

    Technical screening

    The technical screening typically is two rounds of interviews, followed by an interview with the CTO.

    HRD Interview

    The final interview while be conducted with our Head of HR. You can ask questions, negotiate the salary and talk about the next steps.
