About the position

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of our advanced logistics platform.
  • Work with product managers and designers to implement new platform features.
  • Act as an experienced leader to our team by reviewing code and mentoring juniors.

Requirements

  • Extensive (5+ years) experience as a back-end engineer
  • Proficiency with Ruby, and Rails. You may substitute this experience with other languages such as Go, Python, etc., but as most of the back-end is written in Ruby, you must be comfortable with using Ruby
  • Experience with SQL databases, DB modeling, and ORMs
  • Experience designing REST APIs or GraphQL endpoints
  • Strong grasp of security principles and best practices
  • Solid architectural understanding, data structures, and design patterns
  • Ability to quickly understand business requirements, and translate it into an appropriate architecture design
  • Ability to autonomously manage tasks and create clear technical documentation

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Communication skills in Japanese are highly appreciated
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • Intellectually curious and eager to take on new challenges
  • Interested in working on B2B development by leveraging your own development experience

Compensation

7 to 10 million JPY annually.
