To support its growth, TableCheck is looking for a passionate Group Product Manager
As a Group Product Manager your primary responsibility will be to coach and mentor the product management team, and improve the Product management practice. You will know the line between implementing “processes for the sake of processes” and implementing the right process to help TableCheck grow.
You will work closely to Marketing, Sales and Operations teams to help understand customers problems and with Product Team, Design and Development teams to bring cohesive solutions to life across our platform.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, will be highly empathetic with a growth mindset.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and empower a team of Product Managers to deliver exceptional results.
- Set best practices, processes and culture for product. You’ll help cultivate a culture of product excellence and continuous improvement
- Provide direction to product team and prioritize team health.
- Partner closely with Design and Engineering and other internal teams to drive product and delivery success
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement to receive input on products within product line
- Contribute to define and track KPI and metrics to help develop data-driven decision making.
- Help to Align product strategies with company’s vision, driving innovation and execution to achieve strategic goals.
- Not hesitate to roll up your sleeves and contribute to solution elaboration, backlog creation as needed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience with 3+ years of team management experience
- Experience with Web and Mobile products
- High energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and an ability to prioritize initiatives while managing multiple initiatives at once.
- Ability to juggle between saying “No” and finding compromises, with any stakeholders across the organization
- Capacity to build trust through collaboration and effective communication (verbal and writing)
- Obsession about asking “Why” to focus on problems over solutions.
- Great communication skills - can understand and convey complex problems in a easy to grasp manner
- Empathy towards our customers and teams
- Easiness with uncertainty and ambiguity
- Bias toward action, you try things and sometimes you fail. You can get around roadblocks and stay focused on your goals. You’re well organized, able to multitask and able to prioritize your work.

- Must be able to overlap with Japan time zone business hours, at minimum from 1 pm to 7 pm JST.

- Japanese is not mandatory but good to have. Any other language is a plus
- Knowledge of F&B industry; educational background and or experience in - Restaurant/Hotel Management
- Familiarity with Japanese culture
- Experience working in a start-up environment.
