About the position

As an Applied AI Engineer at Tektome, you’ll play a key role in our projects, developing and refining AI-driven solutions to ensure they are robust, scalable, and deliver state of the art performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AI-based search systems to efficiently handle and retrieve information from large-scale Japanese document clusters.
  • Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to process and extract information from both structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Develop and maintain python libraries to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Machine learning workflows.
  • Create and implement metrics, benchmarks, and evaluation protocols to accurately assess the performance and impact of AI systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and researchers, to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in AI and machine learning, particularly in the area of LLMs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Python programming.
  • Expertise in machine learning with a strong emphasis on natural language processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience in working with search and ranking systems.
  • Good knowledge of graph theory

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Practical experience with graph databases and technologies (e.g., Neo4j, Apache Gremlin etc)
  • Experience with fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) on managed cloud platforms
  • Experience with Azure
