At Treasure Data, we are not just maintaining a platform; we are actively reinventing how marketers interact with data. We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to drive user interface development of our newest strategic initiative: a cutting-edge AI Agent for marketers.
In this role, you will be the frontend expert within a cross-functional squad. While the backend handles complex models, your challenge is to make those models accessible, responsive, and intuitive for the user. You will design the architecture for how our application manages state, handles complex data, and enables new ways of interacting with agents.
You will work out of our local office three days a week, collaborating directly with product managers and designers to ship features that have a tangible impact on our customers’ ability to generate value from their data.
Responsibilities
- Translate designs into React applications. You will tackle challenges specific to AI interactions.
- Partner closely with backend engineers to define API contracts. You will advocate for frontend needs to ensure efficient data fetching and rendering.
- Assist with system design activities, bringing an experienced perspective to discussions to make the right tradeoffs.
- Build with a mind towards scalability, performance and operationalization.
- Keep a pulse on the evolving React and frontend landscape, advising the team on new tools or patterns that increase developer velocity or user satisfaction.
Requirements
-
5+ years of software engineering experience , with a strong focus on building complex Single Page Applications (SPAs).
-
You have mastery over React, TypeScript, and the modern JS ecosystem. You understand the Virtual DOM, React hooks, and performance tuning deep down.
-
Proficient with modern state management libraries (e.g., Redux Toolkit, React Query/TanStack, or Context API).
-
While you focus on the frontend, you understand HTTP, REST, and GraphQL, and can effectively debug across the network layer.
-
You thrive in agile environments. You are a driver—you identify blockers and remove them.
-
Business-level English proficiency is required. You can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
-
Must be able to work in the office 3 times a week.
