We are looking for folks passionate about JS who would like to join our Merge team. Merge is a brand new technology allowing users design and prototype with React components. Although we support only React at this point, we are growing the team to introduce integrations with other frameworks like Vue, Angular, etc.
On this position, you will be working with both frontend and backend mainly in Javascript. And not only using a modern framework or library you will also be able to work with a lot of Vanilla JavaScript for our canvas where you can use and improve your Javascript skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with a global team with senior developers as well as UX & UI designers
- Implementing new features mainly in Javascript/Typescript
- Improving performance, reliability and scalability of the existing features
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript
- Good knowledge of React and NodeJS
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres)
Nice to haves
While not required, tell us if you have experience with any of the following.
- Strong knowledge of any other backend programming languages (Ruby, Python, PHP, Go etc.)
- Experience with non-relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB etc.)
- Working experience with Docker
- Experience with building RESTful web services
- Experience with Agile Development, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and automated testing
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
