About the position

We’re looking for a software engineer to take ownership of backend and web-platform development. You’ll join the File DLP Team, building and maintaining the File DLP product within the HENNGE One suite.

As one of the newer products in our lineup, File DLP is still evolving — you’ll work closely with us to explore new ideas, shape features from discovery to delivery, and bring impactful solutions to our customers. As the product continues to grow rapidly, you’ll also tackle scalability challenges and be expected to develop creative, forward-looking solutions to ensure reliability and performance at scale.

While your main focus will be backend development, the team values full-stack and cross-functional collaboration — giving you opportunities to explore the frontend and work closely with stakeholders to deepen your understanding of the business and how our product creates value for customers.

Tech Stack: Golang, React, Graphql, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Temporal, AWS

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain new features for HENNGE One, using Go and other web technologies.
  • Automate deployment, testing, monitoring and documentation via CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Participate actively in product discovery processes that involve Product Management, Design, and Customer Success teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, discussions and technical decision-making.
  • Assess risks in system architecture designs.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers in a team environment, and contribute to improving team process & engineering culture.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience developing production-scale web applications using Go.
  • Experience in developing full-stack applications.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with other engineers in a team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP or Azure) and distributed system concepts.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, code documentation, and clean-code practices.
  • Fluency in English (Japanese is not required), equivalent to CEFR B2 level or above (e.g., TOEIC 785+).
  • Interested in open source/tech community activities

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Degree in Computer Science or other related technical fields.
  • Experience building large-scale distributed systems or SaaS products.
  • Knowledge of web-security, access-control, email-or-storage-systems domains.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code).

Compensation

¥7,000,000 ~ ¥9,000,000 annually.

Our salary range is inclusive of English Allowance & Physical Communication Bonus - please check the details below, with the final amount determined based on your experience and skills.

Benefits

  • English Allowance and Advanced Language Expert Allowance: JPY 10,000 ~ JPY 130,000 per month, paid alongside base salary, if the employee fulfills the requirements.
  • Physical Communication Bonus: JPY 4,000 per day, applicable from October 2025 onwards, for coming to the office and interacting with other employees, paid out as bonus according to the number of days.
