About the position

We are seeking a UI designer to craft the optimal interfaces and specifications for Colorkrew’s services and client projects, integrating them seamlessly into impactful designs.

Your mission is to enhance customer experience and drive business success through thoughtful and effective design.

In your role, you’ll collaborate closely with diverse team members, including product owners and engineers, for Colorkrew’s services. Additionally, you’ll engage directly with clients on projects to ensure their needs and expectations are met.

Responsibilities

  • Information design and requirements definition
  • Devising user stories based on hypotheses and data
  • Product UI design

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in directing to organize product issues and requirements, design information, and define requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in UI design for web and native applications
  • Experience using graphic creation tools (Illustrator, Photoshop) and prototyping tools (Figma)
  • Communication skills to work closely with clients, product owners, and engineers in the conception, design, and development of products.
  • Linguistic skills to explain the intent of the designed design to other professionals.
  • Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions.
  • Able to work on site at our Tokyo office 2-3 times per week

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Programming knowledge such as HTML / CSS / JavaScript
  • Experience with video editing tools such as AF and Premier
  • Experience in spatial design, 2D/3D graphics, and motion graphics creation
  • Experience in training designers
  • Japanese skill

Compensation

¥5,800,000 ~ ¥8,000,000 annually.

    Resume & Portfolio Screening

    We will review your resume and portfolio, and candidates who meet the requirements will be invited to the next stage of the selection process.

    Design Skills Assessment

    A one-hour interview. You will be provided with a simple feature list and wireframe, and based on these requirements, you’ll use Figma to design a service UI within the given time. There are no right answers; the main purpose is to observe your design process.

  3. 3

    Interview with a Designer & Engineer

    A one-hour interview to discuss the content of your resume. We aim to understand the breadth of your knowledge and how deeply you comprehend your own work

  4. 4

    Interview with the CEO, CTO, and HR

    A one-hour interview to determine if you’re a good fit for the company. This is also a chance to meet with top management, so feel free to ask any questions you might have.
