About the position

We are hiring a versatile experienced AI Engineer with a broad understanding of AI technologies and a keen sense of industry trends to support the industry over the next 5 to 10 years. Our focus is on developing innovative products across various sectors, including but not limited to call centres, healthcare, and eldercare. We are looking to expand our team with an AI Engineer who shares our commitment to creating smart and well-designed applications for our clients.

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on technical role, day to day activities include:

  • Belonging to the technical research team reporting to the CTO and conducting research and validation on a wide range of technologies that have the potential to significantly transform the target industries.
  • Performing demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working closely with a knowledgeable team of consultants and IT professionals.
  • Advising on technology adoption and selection as it pertains to AI solutions. It’s not a project management role although mentoring is encouraged.
  • Implementing solutions in the field alongside research and verification activities as required by project circumstances.

Requirements

  • Full professional Japanese language proficiency
  • Hold a degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • A robust programming background.
  • A broad range of knowledge across various AI technologies and understanding of business elements (such as industry trends and potential technology value).
  • Experience training and deploying machine learning models in production.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to important external stakeholders.
  • Non-Japanese nationals living in Japan must have a working visa valid for more than six months.

Nice to haves

While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.

  • Experience presenting to external clients in Japanese.
  • Broad experience with a wide range of aspects related to AI product development such as risk analysis, sales and marketing.
  • Experience with AWS services and MLOps in the cloud.
  • Experience working with paying customer requirements.
  • Experience working in industries dealing with data streaming, such as the call centre industry.
  • Experience setting up data processing and analysis pipelines.
  • Experience in other AI domains such as computer vision.

Compensation

¥10,000,000 ~ ¥20,000,000 annually.

Negotiable based on experience.
