In this position, as a member of the Data Production Department, you will join the project to develop and operate the spacecraft control subsystem for the small SAR satellite constellation “StriX” series. The spacecraft control subsystem is one of the subsystems to operate our satellite constellation.
The roles of this subsystem are making operation plans for our satellites, generating commands for them, and calculating specific information of our satellites such as past and future orbit information. Since this is an in-house system development, we will not only develop but also operate the system to add and improve future functions. Introducing/updating quality assurance activities to this system is also the objective of this position because the spacecraft control subsystem has already been used for our satellite operations 24/7.
We cannot perform our daily satellite operations without the spacecraft control subsystem, and you will be involved in the development and maintenance of such an important subsystem.
You will be also involved in the core of our business by developing and maintaining the subsystem because the subsystem has interaction with our data platform which is used for the frontend to customers, data processing subsystem which generates SAR products.
Now we plan to expand our satellite constellation rapidly and we are required to operate our satellites with more stability and less personal effort . You will be able to show your skill and grow yourself through achieving these requirements.
Requirements
- Experience with system development on GCP or AWS.
- Experience of development with more than 3 members
- Experience in development with Go for 3 years.
- Experience with building gRPC or RESTful API backend workloads in Go in the context of a microservice based architecture.
- Has strong expertise with concurrency patterns in Go.
- Has a strong grasp over various kinds of software architecture patterns in Go (Such as Clean architecture, etc).
- Able to commute to our Tokyo head office.
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Experience working in the space domain (ground system development is the best).
- Experience developing with Python (building apps with Django and Celery is preferred).
- Worked as a leader or sub-leader in system developments.
- Experience introducing quality assurance (CI/CD, integration tests, system tests) to projects.
Compensation
7 to 10 million JPY annually.
