An interactive fan community platform.

At THECOO, we’re leveraging cutting-edge technology to build Fanicon, an innovative and interactive fan community platform. Launched in December 2017, Fanicon is a subscription-based, premium fan community platform where fans can engage directly with their favorite artists and personalities (“icons”), who are directly involved in content design and creation. Fanicon has experienced continuous growth since its launch. As of March 2022, Fanicon hosts over 2,300 communities and over 180,000 fans.

International tech team

Our tech team has 19 members who come from 10 different countries across Asia, North America, and Europe. The team primarily communicates in English, and uses it in most internal meetings.

Outside of the tech team, communication is primarily in Japanese. This includes any company-wide materials, contracts, and training.

Remote Work
  • You can work remotely from within Japan, provided you come to the office when requested by the company or your manager
Holidays
  • Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays
  • New Year’s holidays(December 29th to January 3rd)
  • Annual paid leave
  • Sick leave (6 days per year, conditions apply)
Working Hours
  • Since we operate under a discretionary labor system for professional work, there are no fixed working hours.
  • Most people typically work from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Relocation Support
  • Support obtaining a Japanese working visa
  • No financial support for relocation
